The holiday season is a time of reflection. As we take a moment to look back at the past year, we realize it has been challenging for many individuals and businesses that have struggled with financial hardships and personal losses. Carl Marks has not been untouched by the challenges of 2009. Recently, we suffered a great personal loss when our dear friend, Stanley B. Frieze, a founding partner of Carl Marks Advisory Group, passed away in November.
An astute businessman and strong leader, Stanley possessed a vibrant personality and perpetual optimism. His warmth and good humor touched the lives of all who knew him. We will miss him dearly.
