Susan Lesko
Vice President / Creative Director
Susan comes to us with over 15 years in the creative arena, with
experience in traditional graphic design, marketing communications,
advertising and internet marketing strategy. Classically trained
as a designer, Sue has developed skills in the trenches that go
beyond mere visual aesthetics. Her philosophy is that successful
business communications must express a company or organizations
unique individualism, and continually reinforce this through brand
identity.
Prior to joining Falls Communications, Sue was the associate creative
director for a leading marketing communications firm and e-marketing
director for the companys web development division, which
she was instrumental in founding. Her diverse experience includes:
marketing strategy development, e-business strategy, creative concepting,
print design, web design and development, art direction, online
marketing planning and implementation, creative copywriting, and project management.
Her projects have included corporate identity, marketing collateral,
advertising, packaging, direct mail, e-commerce and consumer web
sites, business-to-business web sites, internet advertising and
e-promotions for clients such as Sherwin-Williams, GE, Owens Corning,
Realty One, Con-Tact Brand, STERIS, Kaiser Permanente, Allsteel and others.
Sue was also on her own as president/owner of an independent design
studio where her focus was on corporate identity and graphic design.
Prior to that, Sue had a stint on the corporate communications side,
working for the computer technology firm LDI Corporation
as design supervisor in their in-house department. She began
her career perfecting her trade at several small, high-end design
studios.
Active in the local and national design community particularly
through AIGA (The American Institute of Graphic Arts) Sue
is dedicated to promoting the power of good design as it affects
a business bottom line. She has won an extensive number of
awards for her work from organizations such as the Business Marketing
Association (BMA), HOW International Design, INC. Magazine, American
Corporate Identity, and others. She was a judge for the 2001 Web
Marketing Associations International Web Awards.
Sue graduated from The University of Akron summa cum laude with
a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in Art History. She also attended
the Weatherhead School of Managements graduate level e-marketing
program.
